The Arctic Blast: Animal Shapes Dance to Learn® Curriculum Bundle is a collection of Conceptualized-Thematic Lesson Plans. The Lesson Plans serve as a foundational exploration of creative dance, ballet and hip hop dance techniques through the lens of Arctic wildlife. In this engaging lesson, young dancers will discover how the body shapes of Arctic animals can translate into movement, fostering a deeper understanding of the dance concept: Body Shapes.
- Straight like a Penguin: Young dancers will begin by mimicking the precise and elegant straight posture of a penguin through technical explorations of creative dance, ballet and hip hop dance techniques. These exercises emphasizes the importance of maintaining proper alignment and body control as they lay the groundwork for their educational dance journey.
- Curvy like a Polar Bear: Emulating the graceful curves of a polar bear, students will explore creative dance, ballet and hip hop dance movements. These movements improve flexibility, develop our vestibular system and strengthens cross lateral coordination.
- Angular like a Reindeer: Like the regal reindeer with its majestic antlers, students will delve into angular movements through their such creative dance, ballet and hip hop dance skills. These skills demand precision and poise. This segment of the lesson plans will enhance their understanding of how to incorporate sharp and deliberate motions into their dance repertoire while improving their static balance.
- Twisted like a Narwhal: The final part of the lesson will transport young dancers to the depths of the Arctic Ocean, where they will learn to create intricate twists and turns inspired by the narwhal's distinctive tusk. This exercise focuses on controlled spinning and twisting movements. Twirling and spinning strengthens our dancers' vestibular system.

A Single User license grants permission to the lesson plan materials to one single user or Licensee. (One Dance Teacher or One Studio Owner). A Multi-User License grants permission to multiple users or Licensee (ideal for dance studios with multiple teaching staff). You can choose up to 3 instructors or up to 5 instructors to provide access to the lesson plan depending on the size of your staff.
Single User License: Log in using the email and password created at checkout. Click the "My Dashboard" link to be taken to your Library.
Multi User License: Upon purchase, please email [email protected] with a list of email addresses for each user. Each user will be manually added as authorized users. Each user will receive an email to create a password. Once their password is created, they can log in using their email and password. Once logged in, they can click the "My Dashboard" link to be taken to their Library.
Absolutely! If you require access to be transferred from one Licensee to another, please send an email to [email protected]. In your email, include the email address that needs to be removed from access and the email address that should be granted access.
Upon purchase, email [email protected] with the email addresses of the individuals to which you would like to provide access to the lesson plans. We will provide access within 48 hours of purchase. Users will receive an email inviting them to create a password to access their Dance to Learn® Library.
Yes, if you would like to remove access a Licensee (they are no longer teaching for you for example) you can email us at [email protected] to remove access from any user.
No, if a user's access to the lesson plan is revoked, refunds are not available. All purchases of our Lesson Plans and licenses are non-refundable, as they are considered final.
