A Little Tap Dance Magic for Ages 5-7

Inside Tapping Under the Sea, dancers explore sailor rhythm games, rocking boat combinations, floating cramp rolls, shuffle patterns, and ocean-inspired traveling exercises while strengthening timing, balance, sound clarity, and directional movement through playful tap exploration.
Throughout the experience, dancers expand upon foundational tap skills by combining rhythm patterns, traveling movements, shuffle exercises, and musical combinations that support coordination, listening skills, and rhythmic confidence.

Under the Sea Tap
Inside the Tapping Under the Sea Tap EdVenture™, dancers build rhythm, musicality, coordination, and intermediate tap skills through ocean-inspired rhythm games, traveling exercises, shuffle combinations, and imaginative under-the-sea adventures designed for growing tappers.
Sand & Jellyfish Warm-Up Game:
Dancers begin class by making “tap prints” across the beach with traveling steps like heel-toe walks, step-heels, crawls, flaps, and scuffs. When the jellyfish appears, dancers freeze and balance on one foot while building coordination, control, and tap readiness.
Sailor Rhythm Tap Exercise:
Dancers practice shuffle steps, rhythm patterns, and beginning Irish combinations using the chant A Sailor Went to Sea while strengthening timing, sound clarity, coordination, and musicality through playful rhythmic repetition.
Tap Skill Exploration:
Throughout class, dancers strengthen rhythm, coordination, musicality, and intermediate tap skills through rocking boat shuffle combinations, sailor rhythm patterns, floating cramp roll exercises, and imaginative under-the-sea tap adventures designed to build confidence and sound clarity.

Frequently Asked Questions
A Multi-Teacher License grants permission to multiple Teachers or Licensee (ideal for dance studios with multiple teaching staff). You can choose up to 3 instructors or up to 5 instructors to provide access to the lesson plan depending on the size of your staff.
Multi Teacher License: Upon purchase, please email [email protected] with a list of email addresses for each Teacher. Each Teacher will be manually added with a new Dance to Learn® account. Each Teacher will receive an email to create a password. Once their password is created, they can log in using their email and password. Once logged in, they can click the "My Dashboard" link to be taken to their Library.
