Weighty Rainstorms

In this Dance to Learn® Creative Dance EdVenture™, dancers ages 3-5 will explore the fascinating world of weather through imaginative movement and creative dance exploration. Using the Dance Element of Force and the Dance Concept of Weight, dancers will discover the difference between light and heavy movement by exploring a rainstorm from beginning to end.

A light and fluffy cloud floats gently in the sky. Raindrops begin to fall, softly at first, then growing heavier and louder. Lightning flashes—some quick and light, others strong and heavy. Thunder rumbles across the floor with stomping feet. When the storm clears, a beautiful rainbow appears, and dancers float, twirl, and soar across its colorful arc.

Through Concept Scaffolding, your dancers experience a layered understanding of movement. As they shift from light to heavy qualities using creative dance vocabulary and expressive storytelling, they develop a kinesthetic awareness of contrast, cause and effect, and dynamic control. This enriching exploration of Weight through the playful lens of a rainstorm promotes coordination, emotional expression, and a deeper mind-body connection for young movers.

A Single User license grants permission to the lesson plan materials to one single user or Licensee. (One Dance Teacher or One Studio Owner). A Multi-User License grants permission to multiple users or Licensee (ideal for dance studios with multiple teaching staff). You can choose up to 3 instructors or up to 5 instructors to provide access to the lesson plan depending on the size of your staff.
Single User License: Log in using the email and password created at checkout. Click the "My Dashboard" link to be taken to your Library. Multi User License: Upon purchase, please email [email protected] with a list of email addresses for each user. Each user will be manually added as authorized users. Each user will receive an email to create a password. Once their password is created, they can log in using their email and password. Once logged in, they can click the "My Dashboard" link to be taken to their Library.
Absolutely! If you require access to be transferred from one Licensee to another, please send an email to [email protected]. In your email, include the email address that needs to be removed from access and the email address that should be granted access.

Yes, if you would like to remove access a Licensee (they are no longer teaching for you for example) you can email us at [email protected] to remove access from any user.
No, if a user's access to the lesson plan is revoked, refunds are not available. All purchases of our Lesson Plans and licenses are non-refundable, as they are considered final.
