Dance Dance Hooray Tap for Dance to Learn®
Flower Garden Fun!

In the Flower Garden Tap Dance EdVenture™ for ages 3–5, young dancers explore rhythm, coordination, and beginner tap technique through imaginative garden-themed movement activities. From spring freeze dance warm-ups and planting seed sound exploration to sunshine shuffles, growing flower shuffle hop steps, and a flower garden obstacle course, dancers build musicality, listening skills, balance, and confidence through playful whole-child tap dance experiences inspired by flowers, gardens, and springtime movement.

  • Spring Freeze Dance Warm-Up: Dancers warm up their bodies and tap shoes through a playful spring-themed freeze dance adapted with tap-focused movement patterns. Students explore hopping, rocking heels and toes, heel-toe walks, stretching, and ankle mobility while building coordination, balance, rhythm, and readiness for class through imaginative spring-inspired actions.
  • Ring O’Roses Circular Traveling Steps: Dancers explore rhythm, timing, and traveling tap steps through a playful circle-based movement game inspired by Ring Around the Rosie. Using step-heels, crawls, and double heel patterns, dancers practice coordination, musicality, spatial awareness, and directional movement while traveling together around the circle.
  • Garden Rows Pathways Combo: Dancers travel through imaginative “garden rows” while practicing step-heels, directional changes, articulation, and pathway exploration. Using beanbags as pretend flower seeds, dancers move sideways, in circles, grapevine patterns, and through open-and-close traveling combinations to strengthen coordination, rhythm, spatial awareness, and musical timing.
